The sleek appearance of Pontiac's two-seater truck is borrowed in part from the automaker's G8 sedan, but from the middle of the roof back the sedan disappears and a truck emerges. The G8 Sport Truck should arrive in dealer
    showrooms sometime in late 2009.

Kinda funny it will be in the 'truck' class. I personally wouldn't own one.... But I did LOVE the El Camino.

    YOUR THOUGHTS?

I like the interior, but the exterior is just a car with a bed. Looks like a Grand Prix with a bed. Seems to be no original thought in the design. IMO

A baja without the seats in the back. Maybe if it were more like a "covered wagon" ala the chrysler magnum

Madmax was an awsome movie with all those Australian groundpounding machines but this particular Aussie creation (Pontiac's division there is Holden) aint gonna fly here in my book. Look at the new GTO-looks like a V8 Honda to me:puke:

I was a fan of the El Camino, it will probably do o.k. here in the states, I am just trying to think who are they trying to market to ? The wife drives a mini van, daddy drives a 4 door sedan, both vehicles work well at the soccer fields, but this is just a car with an open trunk. Since the explosion of the mini van and now the crossover vehicles, SUV'S & SUT'S & and now SUC'S (yeah these vehicles just suck) we are certainly a society of function and being taken kicking and screaming into a society of consumption. I believe targeting young single males, no kids, likes trucks but would never buy one- no need, defines himself as the mod happy-muscle car-wanna-be guy. I hope GM has done it's research or this could be another flop to add to there collection. :pccoffee:

it shouldn't even have the word "truck" in the name, but as a car i like it. Just like an el camino, which i have always liked. it would be good for someone that wanted a car but needed to have a bed. of course it wont have the cpacity of a truck but still more useful than the back seat of a car. i like it, just dont call it a truck

kind of cool for a 3rd car, i liked el camino's though. definitley not a truck or pickup, bet it hauls and handles the street well tho. wonder if you could haul a bike in it or if it is like my sport and have to have the tailgate down. Pontiac had more than GTO's, what about the Firebird, Trans AM, Tempest, Lemans, Grand am, they were all great in there day.
