Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
For me the other way around, the pit would be burying his owner.

Yes! If the guy wasn't being such a dick and actually tried to help and stop it then maybe not. But being a dick about it all = yes. Karma in the for of charges ;)

definitely file the charges, plus you could get him on the threat. ESPECIALLY if your dog got hurt. One of my dogs had to have 3 staples in his head after he was attacked and it was not cheap

On a dogs designated areas of our park in Fremont CA. is posted this sign at the gate. (I'll post a picture as soon I'll get there), Enter with your dog only if he is friendly with others, but, be aware that some are bigger and stronger than others.
Or something on that line. Now, if you ask me, there was here only one good replay : Chris' 4x4.
    Take care

x2. I don't have anything against pitbulls but if a dumbass owner trains his dog to be aggressive, then it's likely that something like this would have happened. Its the irresponsible owners that unfairly give pitbulls a bad name

You have to keep in mind that the true APBT was bred to be DA not HA. There is no reason that this dog should be put down. It hasn't attacked a person that we know of. Your answer will be, but it could have. Then I would advise you to stock up on ammo because in our prison systems we have an abundance of adolescent males locked up for crimes against people. Which means they are more likely to commit crimes against people thus you should start shooting them.

Oh and if you followed the guy home and shot him that wouldn't be self defense. If his dog is attacking your dog and you shot him that also wouldn't be self defense. In order to be defending yourself you must be the one being attacked, not one of your possessions.

Sorry to be posting the sarcasm about the owner but I'm really curious why no one has picked up my comments to send the dog to a behaviour specialist at the owners expense then adopt him out. I'm reading alot of people on here love pit bulls. So why not rehabilitate the dog and adopt him out....? And yes the owner should pay for all cost associated with the rehabilitation and maybe even some doggie support. Is this not possible in our states? I"m asking I don't know!

It seems everyone is quick to pull the trigger on the dog but not make the owner pay...hell ship the dog to Caesar Milan and if knuckle head has to pay several thousand dollars then let it be an example to others of what our society expects and how merciful we are!!!

Pit Bulls are a breed that just want to please their owner. They can be the most loving dog, to the most vicious dog. Whatever the owner wants them to be, they will do. I have a friend who has a pit bull that is the friendliest dog I have ever seen, and the best trained. I don't know how many people here have seen the weight pulling competitions. They train their pit bulls to pull sleds of weight and they compete, and because it's what the owner wants them to do, these dogs are happy as hell pulling over a 1000 lbs of weight down a track!

so any idea what happened? did the cop warn them? did htey talk, to you?

definitely keep us updated on whats goin on. i'm curious to see how this plays out. i hope the owner suffers but the dogs aren't injured (ulness they are being trained to attack, in which case they are probably a lost cause)

actually, self defense is when you are protecting yourself, or someone else (gf, wife, stranger etc...) but i'm not sure if it counts for dogs. thats actually something good to know, because most people view their dog as a family member. you obviously couldn't kill a person attacking a dog and say it was self defense, but you may be able to kill another dog or animal that attacking your pet.

i love animals, and have known quite a few badass pits. i know they can be great dogs. but i honestly dont believe in rehabilitation. i dont believe in rehabilitation for violent human offenders either (rapists, child molesters etc...). sometimes the rehab will take, but its very likely they will randomly regress at some point. IMO a pit is too dangerous to take that chance with. would you want a rehabilitated child molester living next door to your kids?

I feel the same way if that was a child it grabbed instead of your dog there would be major trama. I say shoot the dog and the owner.
