Scam or no? What do y'all think?

So I'm selling my boat on Craigslist, and this is what a guy emails me. It sounds a little fishy to me...Just wondering what y'all think about it.

Thanks for the your prompt response and i have decided and concluded
to buy the item from you. I am OK with the cost.And I would be very
glad to inform you that, My Office will be mailing overnight certified
check from my salary to cover the cost of the item as you
requested,I'll want you to remove the advert from web and consider
this item is sold to me..So i want to be the best offer by offering
you extra $50 to your money as the best offer and i hope you will keep
this item for me. I will be needing the following information to issue out the payment ..

Not P o Box Address:
Total amount for the item :
Also you should be aware that you won't be responsible for shipping as
i will have my mover come over and pick it up as soon as you received

Fo should scam. Dude seems like a robot. Nobody I know talks like that ever. Plus he seems way too willing to take care of everything.

Its a scam. probably someone from out of country. first he says decided and concluded. seriously? have you ever met anyone that talks like that? and then he never tells you what his company is. and he is willing to give you an extra 50 for no reason at all? like others said he never mentioned what the item was which means its probably a generic message. and he will pay for a shipping company to pick it up. thats odd unless its a car or something from out of state but most people dont look at out of state cars on craigslist. also he doesnt want to meet you in person is the reason his company will send a check and he will have someone else pick it up which indicates that he is up to some shenanigans.

Yeah had it happen to me. They say they will send you a money order or check. You cash it, the shipping company comes to your house and gets the item. In 2 weeks the banks contacts you and says the Money order or cashier's check was bogus and holds you responsible for all the money. Cash, cash, cash. And now you also have no item. SCAM

 

and his response was generic. he never mentioned what he was buying. he could send out that email for any item.

 

What raswank said- You end up with a bogus funding source and no item. Other options are they send you a check/money order for twice the amount and then have you cash it, send the excess to someone else, and the shipper comes for the item. You end up out all the money equal to the value of the check + the money equal to the value you sent out + the item.

Not good-Very scam.
