Sorry to say, but I am no longer a tacoma owner :( Great truck. Was looking to lower my payments by going into a new one and dealers wouldn't budge on prices. Ended up getting a Tundra instead! 3500 cash back from toyota was huge.

Sticker was 35,500 for a 4x4 5.7 double cab SR5. Heater mirrors, power seats (very comfortable), heated wipers, blue tooth, etc etc. Gave it to me for 1000 under invoice (31500) and took the 3500 off making it $28,000! Gave me 21,000 for the taco which is between what 2 other dealers offered me for it. Best deal I could get on a 2010 tacoma was 28,500 for the OR model.

I have to say, they both have their good and bad points- REALLY miss my backup camera now. Composite bed on the taco was awesome. Back area storage was huge on the taco. Sadly, I think I have less factory storage room now. But, I have a bigger back for the dog/people, a rocketship and a truck that stops! The performance on something this big is mind boggling. It should tow my camper much nicer which I am happy about as well.

I will be keeping an eye out for an older used tacoma or 4 runner for wheelin. I will miss the taco when trying to stuff this thing into a tight parking spot or when I get a chance to go off roading. Hopefully the redesign will get a nicer power plant and it will make me want to come back! Heres a couple pictures of both trucks.

nice upgrade man! at least you are still part of the toyota family!

I have been trying to talk my step dad in to getting rid of his 03 tundra and getting in to a new one.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .

In 2009 I went from a 2007 5.7L Tundra to a 2009 Tacoma for the size difference and ease of parking.

You will love the power of that 5.7 in the Tundra .... but for my own personal use, the Taco was better.
