    Anybody hear about this?

    http://www.leftlanenews.com/toyota-makes-toyota-care-and-scion-service-boost-standard.html

"After first offering free scheduled maintenance as part of a temporary effort to shore up dropping sales, the automaker announced today that it will leave the service on all new Toyota and Scion vehicles as standard.

Effective beginning today, the purchase of any new Toyota or Scion vehicle will come with free 24-hour roadside assistance, as well as complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years, or 25,000 miles - whichever comes first.

That includes all normal factory-recommended maintenance services outlined in each vehicle’s owners manual, which includes oil and filter changes, tire rotations, lubrication of key chassis parts/components and a 19-point inspection. "

By making these plans permanent, Toyota becomes the first full-line non-luxury automaker to offer a standard complimentary service plan on its entire lineup.

Cool to hear it will be standard now. My wife got it earlier this year as their "free upgrade"

I got the same deal back in March when I bought my truck. Interesting to note that they cut off the free maintenance just before the super expensive 30,000 mile service. I think they do this so you will get used to having your vehicle serviced at the dealership and will then go back and pay for the super expensive service.

Yea I read in another article they tried it out in a couple markets and it was popular. 25,000 miles is what, 5 oil changes if done at 5,000 mile intervals? Still a freeby is a freeby. I have a first gen so I don't know what other stuff it would include other then inspections and tire rotations.

They used to have it as promotional deals, but now it will be standard.

I just heard it here in CAlifornia. Hey! I think it should be retroactive to all sale within the last 2 years!

Haha What does it cover really...? A couple of oil changes, rotate tires, check all lube points... I do all this myself myself anyway...

Besides, they will use the New Employees doing the easy maint jobs while the pro's are doing the more difficult work.

    Nah, they can keep it...

I rarely let the dealer work on my truck anyway.

x2. I got the program and I'm 99.999% sure I wont be using it. Specially now that the FJ OCIs are 10k miles apart.
