Yo dude, good luck with dealing with that. From what I hear it's very curable and the treatment options will have people being pain free.

If done right. Aw hell, it can be pain-free if done WRONG too, but only cuz they damage the nerves and you just can't feel the pain.

Aw geez Will that really sucks. :( I hope you can skip the surgery, but mostly I just hope you end up pain- and numbness-free real soon! Glad you got in to see someone though, even if it is bad news--that way the treatment can start sooner and you'll get better sooner!

That sucks.....good luck with all that. Back pain treatments have always been hit or miss in my experience.

actually, i can feel it start in my upper back area of my spine, and it goes down the back side of my arm, kinda wraps around and has my middle and pointing fingers numb. when i turn a certain way, i feel it push on the nerve more and the fingers actually start twitching. so thats basically the pinched nerve.

you'll know if you have a pinched nerve...........you'll have alot of numbness whereever the nerve is pinched at. if yours isnt numb all the time, you could be possibly pinching the nerve while you work out. do you stretch any before hand??
