doing away with alcohol.

after a few recent situations......mainly.....hurting and potentially losing someone i love and care for......i giving up on alcohol. just a personal decision.......because its been a nowhere road for me for sometime.....and i have ruined a few things because i relied on it too much. just putting it out there.

Much respect! I did the same thing a couple years ago. Went through some stuff that would not have happened if I wasn't drinking. I still drink from time to time but it is not very often and I don't drink much when I do.

 

You can do it bro, i made the same choice 3 years ago and could not be happier!!

I had to stop because of a medical reason not that I drank all the time before. Sometimes its the only choice. Good luck.

Best wishes for you Will!! I wish my sister had a fraction of the amount of brains you have. My dad is trying to enjoy the last few days he has left on this earth and my sister had to ruin things last night by being drunk and starting a fight with me. I had to leave my dad's place early, to avoid a Domestic situation. Wouldn't have looked good on my behalf. Alcoholics, in my opinion, can destroy families.

sorry to hear about your father. my situation 2 years ago when i lost my dad sounds kinda one in the same.

i can tell you this......after what happened this past saturday night/sunday morning.....its the wakeup call i needed.

Good luck bro. Its a rough road, but well worth it. I quit 7 years ago. I do have a beer now and again, but its nothing like what i use to put down. I rarely have more than 1 (if that) these days.
