    Problem:

    Experimental Measurements of a convection heat transfer coefficient for a square bar in cross flow yields the following values:

    h1 ave = 50 w/m2 k when V1= 20 m/s
    h2 ave = 40 w/m2 k when V2 = 15 m/s

    ....---------> .... /\
    Air---------> ... / . \
    V....---------> . \ . /
    ....----------> ... \/
    ................L= |.5m|

    Assume the functional form of the Nusselt number is Nu ave = C Re^m Pr^n, where C, m, n are constants.

    A) What will be the convection heat transfer coefficient for a similar bar with L= 1m when V= 15m/s?

    Then it goes on to B) and C). I can figure B out once I figure A out. Anyone know what to do?

    Damnit when I draw the thing it doesnt show up how I want it to... :(...
    Got the drawing to look a little bit better :eek:

    Drop class. Change majors.

    Haha jk good luck :p I was a comp sci major, until I took Multivariable Calculus. I never got a passing grade in that class. First quiz was a 48%. I got a 12% on the final :D I studied all night for that bitch.

    I got my degree in Graphic Design. I use it 0% at work.
