Why not conditioner? I use it. If I use just shampoo my hair isn't a soft. Still feels dirty. I use the 2 in one stuff so I don't have to hassle with two bottles.

I respect your opinion, but you're wrong.

Chapstick just makes us worry about things that aren't important. We can keep our lips wet enough without it - just stay hydrated.

Car seats do work. I'm not doubting that. But they should not be required. If a parent does not want to use one, they should not be required to. They are responsible for their child.

Safety scissors - it's like the receiver hitches - there's a much better alternative, which is in this case regular scissors. I understand that kids might 'need' them, but give them real scissors so they can learn early on to be careful.

Tasers - they make more controversy than they solve. Anyone stupid enough to draw that sort of attention to himself deserves more than a shock.

Shampoo worked fine...until conditioner was invented. In other words, people were content with shampoo, then conditioner came along.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Those tasers are more than a shock buddy.

And you don't make sense about the car seat. You say they work. Then you say that a parent shouldn't have to use them for their child. That implies you have a problem with the law, not the chair. And what do you propose to hold the kid in? A regular seatbelt? Oh I know. Duck tape and superglue like cuts right? I don't want to see flying baby projectiles in car accidents.

Roll cages work, but they aren't required, nor should they be. Same deal.

And ya, that's the problem. I don't want 'baby projectiles' either, but car seats and solid driving are the only ways to prevent that. I don't have an answer for how to fix it. I just don't like that they are required.

And with the taser...ya it's more than a shock, but in a couple days he's over it. Give him something to remember, so he won't do it again.

Can you give a reason next to everything you hate. I think it would make for some comedy.

all good points and good opinions. I didnt realize you were opposing that car seats shouldnt be mandatory, i thought you meant car seats being unneeded even though they are safer. i think they are still a good idea, but you're right it is up to the parents. I still strongly think that chapstick is a good idea though. For one in some places such as in the high sierras or other high elevation places drinking liquids only makes it worse and even if it didn't the amount of water you would have to drink and the hassle it would create would be ridiculous. Tasers I dont really care if they were made or not.

A lot of it goes back to "If it's not broke, don't fix it."

Umbrellas weren't necessary...until they were invented.
Band aids weren't needed until they were invented.
    Same with everything else.

A bullet? Lol. Sometimes people make mistakes. Like maybe a drunk night. Get tasered and you might learn your lesson. Taser, beanbag gun, baton, all a step down from a bullet.

Roll cages are like seatbelts. They can work. Doesn't mean they will. Sometimes your body just can't withstand the impact. And if your against carseats and think safe driving is the key I'm guessing your against regular seatbelts? Emergency brakes? Spare tires? Additional oil coolers? Maybe we should just flintstone it. Just seems like your striving for a perfect simple world.
