Ya and I see your side of it too.
Car seats do their jobs, but they should be up to the parents.
I see your chapstick point too...no one likes to look at bloody lips.

So whats the problem? If you want to answer it, answer it. How is it the caller ID's fault you get anxiety over a simple decision?

The only times you hear about Tasers on the media is when there IS a controversy with them. Do you have any idea how many "controversies" are solved and lives are SAVED by Tasers every year?

Now, I don't care if you don't like Tasers because that's your opinion, but I would argue with the blanket statement about them. :D

Edit, I do however like this... Anyone stupid enough to draw that sort of attention to himself deserves more than a shock.

That's a real good argument. We know seatbelts save lives. Spare tires are needed sometimes too. Same with oil coolers. Should they be required? No. Are they recommend? Yes. Do they work? Yes. But if I don't want to drive around with a spare tire or with a seatbelt on, I shouldn't have to.

Emergency brakes are necessary. Not requiring them will endanger other people.

edit - I do always wear my seatbelt.

Because then you discriminate. Without ID, you don't know who (or what) it is. And if it is important or unimportant you answer regardless, then either talk or hang up.

OP i think a child seat should be mandatory. parents should be responsible for there kids but i also think that the law should advocate for child safety. not fair for the kid if mom and dad are to retarded to realize car seats are beneficial. difference between wearing a seatbelt and a car seat is that an adult can assume the risk of not wearing a belt where the child cant make the choice and a parent isnt always the best person to make all choices for there kids. Also, cars door post/pillars are meant to withstand a roll over, a roll cage is meant for full on racing, not the typical car accident.

and conditioner... really??? just because shampoo was ok before doesnt mean something new is worthless or should never have been invented. if thats the logic then anything invented the past 250 years shouldnt have been invented. people in the stone age survived without it...

Your contradicting yourself. You say e-brakes are necessary because if not others will be endangered. So by saying that you agree that people can't drive. What about the car seats? Sure they may not be necessary. But by not having them your endangering the babies lives. So you either gotta have ebrakes an car seats or not have both. You can't argue for only one. Well, you can but you don't make sense.

Good logic man...that's a hole in my argument.

And I agree that parents should be responsible for their child's safety - and that brings me to a whole new thing - not everyone should be able to have kids. For example, not just anyone can get a driver's license, but anyone can have kids if they want, even if they are not equipped or prepared.
