Nothing you can really do except put ice on it. This will keep it from getting worst. Often with these injuries, the ear will swell with fluid and then the fluid solidifies and stays that way and may look a little funny. Ice will help this.

    Lots.
If your ear swells up go to the hospital and get it drained immediately!!! They can keep it from looking pretty bad.

    Definitely ice it.

The condition especk is talking about is commonly referred to as "Cauliflower Ear." It's common among wrestlers who don't wear headgear and get their ears beat up a lot.

If it builds up with fluid, get it drained before it hardens.

    Depends how you define "break".

Aside from the ossicles, there are no actual bones in the ear to fracture. However, you can do plenty of soft tissue damage.

i haven't confirmed this for myself, but i use to work with a girl whose mom was a nurse for a plastic surgeon. her mom wouldn't let her get the cartilage in her ear pierced, because she said its not uncommon for the cartilage to start to "crack" from the hole (like a windshield can crack from a chip) and that eventually the upper part of the ear can droop or kinda "hang over a bit" and they have to go in and fix it. like i said, i heard that from a coworker but have no idea if its true or not. either way, sounds like you just busted yours up real good, but to answer your question i do think its possible to "break" an ear (kinda)

^^ happened to my cousin. he was standing on a basketball and fell off and hit his ear on the table. split the cartilage in his ear so it went floppy.

It's okay, people will be less likely to mess with you because they will think you are an UFC cage fighter.

It's fixed now...not sure what they did. Maybe they just got a beanie hat and made him wear it for a while.
