Lego's or Erector Set

Which did you play with when you were a kid? I even took my legos to school....

I still "play" with Legos

 

Lego of course.

 

I just built a Lego helicopter a few days ago. =D

 

My mother-in-law has a huge suitcase of Lego , from back in the day when it was just different size blocks , not all in sets like now .

Anyway , every year around Christmas she brings it out for the grandkids , and me and my brother-in-laws all pretend we're not that interested , except every year we end up playing with it for hours .

I grew up with erector sets, legos, and knex...time to get to baby making to justify buyin new sets lol

I did lego's. Got quite a few boxes in the basement of it.

legos...my grandma tried to buy me mega blocks when i was 4, but i cried cause they werent the same, even though she swore they were

Hell yes! I still make sure my wife gets me something (nothing major) Lego for Christmas.

 

I voted Legos before I read the post,I played with the erector sets. When I was kid there were not many plastic toys. My son is 32 and still plays with legos, but they cost a whole lot more than sets we bought him. It worked out real good for him he went from a lego city on a 3 x 8 table as a kid to designing building for a living. It's pretty bad when you have to pay $200 for a kit.

 

^ Yeah, too damn expensive now. Hardly paid for them myself when I was younger, but I'm sure all the sets I have would sell for a lot more these days.

 

I started with lego's but I graduated into construx. They were my favorite. I actually find myself wishing for some right now.

When I was about 5 or 6, my parents signed us up for a Lego building contest. The winner was a group of people who built a scale replica of a White Castle. The guy next to us built a monster truck.

The next day, my dad's friend who's company sponsored our team came over and brought us a galvanized trash can full of Lego parts. I had a lot of toys growing up, but I don't think I played with more or had as much fun as I did with Legos. (Okay, maybe Transofrmers)

To this day, my brother wants to be a LegoMaster. We're even pretty convinced the whole Bionicle series is stolen from designs he sent in to try and get a job.

 

Castle Lego. But instead of riding horses my knights got giant walking robots with machine guns.
