    Thought it was pretty cool!!

    I keep having this thought on all these different conditions and problems a general car engine can have, and how you could draw connections to health conditions and problems we can have. This is by no means a complete list and obviously is up to interpretation.

    Here's what I got so far.

    Exhaustion and/or sleep deprivation = hesitation and powerlessness
    Starvation/Anorexia = running lean
    Overeating = running rich
    Coughing= backfire
    Overheating or fever = overheating
    Hypothermia = inability to reach operating temps
    Inability to sweat = Running out of coolant
    Nosebleed= nosebleed (AKA oil blowing out the valve covers and PCV)
    Hemorrhaging= excessive blowby
    Bleeding = oil/coolant leak
    Arrhythmia = missing on one or more cylinders
    Heart Attack = engine seizure
    Drowning = hydro lock
    Asthma = bad compression
    Emphysema = bad air sensing (ie bad MAF, MAP, A/F or O2 sensor)
    Mental problem = bad sensor(s)
    Insanity = bad ECU
    Brain dead = fried and/or inoperative ECU
    Coma = No ignition
    Paralysis = broken transmission, driveshaft, differentials, or axles
    Death = destruction of the motor (AKA thrown rod, blown piston, spun bearings, ect)

    I put way too much time into this, but I'm a nerd. Feel free to add to it.

    My best friend wrote a fitness book on the comparison of the human body to our beloved automobiles. Very amazing book I might add.
