Just wondering how you all handle someone tail gating you? Do you slow down, do you speed up, do you maintain same speed? For me it depends on the situation if I am doing the speed limit people should not tail gate, if I am driving below the speed limit I will usually speed up. Sometimes I look in the mirror and decide than what to do. Do you tailgate yourself?:p

I pull over and let them by. I don't want someone driving like an asshole anywhere near me or my family.

I don't normally tailgate, theyhave to be really be driving slow for me to do it. But if someone tailgates me? I'm not a slow driver, so you must be an a$$hole if your on my a$$. So I slow down at 1st enough so I know they will be able to stop safely if I have to make a quick stop, and if they keep it up, I slow down to almost nothing.

or ther other day, i saw a speed bump in the distance.....i sped up with them on my tail until the speedbump. being so close to me, they obviously couldn't see it comeing. my suspension took it fine (about 40mph)....but that little mercedes is diffinately going to need an alignment.

    Always tap the brakes!

let them hit my ass, won't hurt me none.

Here in AZ people love to tailgate truck for some reason? Little cars and all.

Love the looks on their faces when I unexpectantly tap the breaks.

All white and sweaty and chit....

if it's day time and I have my lights off I'll just flash them so it looks like the brake lights. Usually gets it done.

Two weeks ago my wife and I took a driving safety course. The wife had 2 acciedents and a speeding ticket within 2 years. Insurance was throught the roof. We boith received $300 each off our insurance cost. I have been driving for 44 years, was amazed how much I learned in the class. Stay away fromn aggresive drivers. Several years back a family friend got into a confrontation with another driver, got out of his car and was shot in the stomach. The best thing to do is nothing. No good will come out of any confrontation.

I usually lock down on the brakes for a split second...or 3

Some jackass was in a beamer behind me the other day and was riding my tail. There was a decent sized stick laying in the road so it hit it, needless to say it flew up and hit the front of their car. They backed off real quick. :D

Brake check! Or sometimes ill slow down to 20mph and piss them off worse, while everyone in the truck is giving them a little bit of this action:brianr:
And i'm always going 5-10 over so if they are riding me they are just assholes.

Since there is alot of sand on the raods around here from all the snow, I'll purposely drive over it to kick pebbles onto their car. That and I slow down to let them go around or I move over.

Damn! I saw a similar story on the news sometime around a year ago. The thing is the guy who was in his car got of free although I don't think anyone got shot.

How about we all obey the traffic rules, especially the one that said: "Slow traffic keep right." At this I may add, slow traffic, oriental drivers, junk cars, get the hell to the right. I don,t know Am I to harsh? or is only me? But in our culture if the traffic lows said 55m/h we drive 55 in the fast lane. Guess what, around here you get shot for doing that. I don,t know, you be the judge.
    take care

if Im in the left lane, I'll move over. If they are still on my ass, I leave it be. After all......If they hit me, they are at fault.

Depends. If I'm already driving faster than I should I either keep my speed or slow up a bit. More times than not though I'll just get over and let them pass. In my younger days I would have floored it or brake checked them. I don't drive like an asshole anymore. Besides, you usually end up getting stuck next to them in traffic a half hour later in which i just kind of stare at them and shake my head haha. If they're tailgating me in the slow lane though I tend to get more aggravated.

I had a buddy who would throw ball bearings and spark plugs. He was an a$$. I don't do anything. Ignoring them tends to piss them off more.

This. If they're really being an ass I just let off the gas and drop a few mph down to the speed limit (I usually travel about 6 or 7 above the speed limit). I live in MA though and close to Boston, so Masshole aggressive drivers are pretty routine...
