    Long Story short:
I ended my service, switched to Verizon (the real 'now network'). Waited a couple weeks for all the 'termination' fees to fall, so I could pay them off. Called on 12/31, told the representative that I was sure that I would have to pay another $80 or so in termination fees. I was reassured I wouldn't. Great! Send me a statement to that effect. Sure, 3 to 5 days.

Never got the statement (10 days later), and now being charged $88 termination fee. Called to complain today, and everyone I spoke to (all twelve of them), were complete A-Holes, and none would do anything for me. They didn't even care that I was lied to ("its not noted in the account", of course they aren't going to make a note on the line of bullshit they fed me).

    Fucking idiots.

Don't pay it, and drag the BBB in. They get stuff done.

Verizon is so expensive in my area, I had nextel for 12 yrs, now I just got a sprint smartphone. The reception is not as good, but it fits my needs for 69.99 a month.

The BBB website is awesome, and it made me laugh when they had radio buttons with selections for complaints for cell phone companies. It must be one of their top complaints.

People lie all the time to get free stuff from companies...I could understand why they wouldn't give it up without it being noted. At least it was something you were expecting to pay though.
