hahah yea i ask him about the helmet thing all the time and he still refuses. He bought a brand new one and wore it when we were doing the easy stuff but he said he couldnt see right so he took it off to do the jumps.

he wore a helmet in this vid. something like 105ft gap

Then he should try helmets on at the store until he finds one that works, and then stick with it. No excuses when it comes to noggin safety. Bones and flesh heal. But you bust your brain, it's a lifetime of suffering. Even the best screw up, even the most carefully constructed jumps can crumble. I am sure there are more than a few EMTs and medics on TW who would be happy to enlighten your friend about lives senselessly shattered and/or cut short because people couldn't be bothered with finding and wearing properly fitting helmets.

    Cool vids tho.

Having crashed many many times on a mountain bike, I will also add the importance of a helmet. BMX and Skateboarders seems to absolutely disregard safety.

However those above videos are pretty sweet.

I was also stubborn about helmets when i rode bmx but i always wear a helmet on the motorcyles. Awesome videos, im diggin the motocross one, track looks dry as hell though. I wouldnt ride in a tee shirt like him though, im always fully geared when i ride

hit the nail on the head. When I was volunteering we had our fair share of bike/atv accidents where the person ended up either dead or paralyzed.

The sad thing is even stupid small crashs can be horrible. 2 months ago my best friend fell over in a corner and lacerated his liver and almost bled out.

I ride sportbikes quite a bit and we seem to have a good rule. ATGATT...All The Gear All The Time! I very rarely leave home without my suit, boots, back protector and helmet. Gloves of course also and earplugs also. Id rather sweat than bleed. I know a few guys that ride BMX and they're all pretty badass. I live about a half hour from the original Camp Woodward. Look up heathens trail jam on youtube.
