compressed air tank for paint ball gun question...

    im going to big bear mountain for a day and i wanted to take my paintball gun w me but im worried about the compressed air tank. can anything happen to the tank bc of the high altitude? thanks, this may be a stupid question sorry.

    Big bear mountain is at 8805' above sea level, where atmospheric pressure is 4 psi lower. Typical airgun tanks are filled to 3000 psi. I think the tank will be fine at 3004 psi. You really should be worried about other modes of failure, like accidentally banging the tank against a hard surface. :devil:

    Depends... Are you flying or driving?

    If you're driving, you'll be fine, unless your truck is like chitty-chitty-bang-bang.

    If you're flying, don't worry, the TSA wouldn't find it until it went boom at high altitude once their job is irrelevant :eek:

    In other words, if you're flying, it is not safe nor legal.

    bwahahaha... if you fly up here you might hit 9000' and you wont have to worry about TSA in the cesna...

    Ive always found the sharrifs to be cool but they are harsher towards the flatlanders who come up on weekends...
