    Not enough.
    From Tuesday 6/1/2011

I just think this one is funny. Getting choked by a super quick purple belt. 16 minutes into my roll so it was hard to fight back at this point.

    DSC_0947_59c5b3bd43abce4f0aadb821427d4df7f63419bf.jpg

And after 24 minutes of non stop rolling. My face looks swollen haha

I was watching some friends trials videos...crazy!

In september, they will have a live broadcast on www.budovideos.com if you didn't already know. I think the first day is free and the final day will be like $10 I believe. I've watched podcasts from them before and they are pretty sweet (you might have to turn the volume down though 'cause Caleb the commentator can get a bit annoying.) Check it out. :pccoffee:

Just started maybe 2 months ago.

Getting choked-out and armbarred every single class and loving it.

Train out of orange county, ca (yorba linda) with Tinguinha Mariano who trained with Carlos Gracie Jr. in Brazil.

Anytips for a smaller guy like me? (145lbs 5'6")

Nice, might start training at one of us satellite schools here.

    Some tips.

    Be limber
    Technique over power
Use your size to your advantage
Relax when in an uncomfortable position.

-This^^ Not sure if you're training with GI or no gi or both.. but it can get pretty uncomfortable having a 300lb dude with a sweaty gi crushing you over your face. You feel suffocated. Don't panic.

    -Get good off your back.
    - Pushups and sit ups everyday. Before work and bed time.

Yeah. Having a huge dude over you with his gi draped over you can make you feel claustrophobic and like you're about to suffocate. Still happens to me.

Also, don't be afraid to think outside the box.

    Thanks for the advice!

Im working on my spiderguard just to keep guys off me. My first few rolls I had a big dude lay on my chest to the point I couldnt breathe. Pretty emabarassing but I tapped just cause he had all his weight on my sternum.

Anybody in OC area want to roll and help me out?

Also, don't be afraid or embarrassed to tap. I've seen many newbs try to tough it out thinking they can out of a submission only to get injured.
