I'm not sure where to post this, but I'll try here. I'm looking to refinance my truck and save on paying unneccessary interest. Spring is right around the corner and banks should be having their used car loan "sales." So I'm curious if anybody has any info on low refinance interest rates? What is the lowest rate you've found? Have you received any flyers in the mail from banks with low interest rates? Any info you could pass on would be extremely helpful!

Pentagon Federal CU has best rates, but you must qualify as a member. I didn't qualify to become a member, therefore I went through http://up2drive.com. They were pretty quick & easy to deal with. Got 4.9% for a 60mo. term about 5 months ago. Currently, they're as low as 3.64%/36mo., 3.79%/48mo., 3.94%/60mo. & 4.79%/72mo.

Just re-refinanced my truck. My credit union made me an offer I couldn't refuse: 2.99% for 4 yrs. + a free $100 Chevron gas card :D. And no additional costs added to the loan or out of my pocket. They also offered me the same rate for a 5 yr. term.

My previous loan was at 4.9% on a 5 yr term. I still had 4 yrs. left.

The best way to avoid interest is to avoid debt. The quicker the note is paid off, the quicker one is not paying interest.

Check with credit unions. They usually have the lowest rates.
