Yesterday I lost my briefcase, laptop, and a rim. I was trying out to see if the rim would fit. Well, when I was done fitting the rim, I placed it in the bed of the truck with the rest of my stuff and drove off to work. When I got to work and went to get my bag from the back, the tailgate was open and my stuff was missing! I forgot to close the back of the tailgate and while I was driving all my shit fell out! I have never left the tailgate open, I don't know what i was thinking! What a pain in the ass, all my personal info was on that laptop! At least I did have it password protected, but I still had to close my bank account and reset all my online passwords. I'm pissed! I hope my laptop broke when it went sliding out the back!

Hope you had a back up hard drive. Did you retrace your driving route back to the start?

My laptop survived a 6 foot 30km/h fall off a moving truck onto ice. Broke the screen, but I could still hook it up to a monitor and use it.

$140 screen in the mail later, back to new!

Yes, I did have a back up HD, but it's scary to know that my info is in the hands of a stranger. I did retrace my route and I found nothing, even my rim in the original shipping box was gone.
