Just rear ended -Toyota vs Chevy

Toyota wins again!!!!

I was stopped at a light. Guy smacked me pretty hard, I barely heard his tires skreech. Knocked my truck upwards. My bed is bent. Tailgate, tail light, & bumper damaged

 

wow....man if you had a plate bumper you would had nothing as far as damage.

glad everyone is ok (i assume)

 

Bed is closer on this side to the cab.

 

Thanks. Yeah good 2005 Tacoma. After I was hit, I was thinking, dam I wonder how bad my truck is damaged. Got out to look & it was slightly.

170,000 miles. Wouldn't mind having a new one. Just don't want payments.

 

Almost same thing happen to my 2006. I was rear ended by a 1975 Mercury Couger, my damaged looked very similar to yours, oh but my frame was bent to hell. Ended up getting totaled. Make sure you check your frame.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to take it to a Toyota dealer body shop on Thursday to get an estimate. I have a feeling my frame is bent. My drivers door makes a noise when I close it, like it isn't lined up.

 

That sucks. Looks like you were on 316? I used to live in Winder. Like the middle sticker in the rear window.

 

I live just south of Winder. It happened at the light by the Gwinnett county prison. I was on my way home from work.

Looking at prices on a 2005 Tacoma, if mine is totaled. Found one with 10,000 more miles than I have for $14,900 at a dealer. This is very good, as a value reference.

 

I had that happen to me driving my dads F150 however when i got rear ended I had a trailer hitch and 3" ball on. Nothing wrong with my dads truck, just the other ladys paint on the ball. Her car totaled whole hitch went right through her radiator and hit the block, thats why I always have a hitch on my taco Glad your okay bro

 

Have you worked with your insurance provider in this kind of situation before? If so,how was your exp. with them?

Haha I love how the front of that chevys messed up pretty bad, but the taco looks new except for the bed shift
