I know people with the "Onstar" system that automaticly calls 911 in a crash that have been cited for a DUI.
We have an open container law in our state, thats what slidding rear windows are for, they can't touch you for empty beer cans in the bed of your truck, you just tell the police officer that your collecting beer cans for recycling.
I used to drink and drive, but not anymore, everytime I would hit a bump I would spill my drink all over my lap.

Im very surprised at how well you're handling these comments. You probably had your flame suit on when you posted this, but it seems you have a decent attitude.

Im not sure you're going to get much feedback from "others" that have made the same mistake as you, because truthfully you and "they" are looked at in a different light from that point forward. Most people are not proud of it and are not comfortable enough to mention that it has happened to them.

It seems you regret your terrible decision and are ready to make some serious changes..... Best of luck to you. be safe.

Ya I figured this would change everything but I had to throw it out there. I regret it all but I had to get off my chest regardless all negative feed back I get. Its easy to bash on someone that makes mistakes... so bash away

If you have learned the lesson- consider that one of the most important days of your life.It will eventually all go away. IF YOU WOULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE; IT WOULD NEVER GO AWAY.

...hmm yes! Thousands of dollars, all insurance costs rising, I bet you got charged with midconduct involving a firearm too!

No more mods, don't get a lawyer, pay outta pocket...it'll hurt you worse, and make you feel the pain. The more you feel the pain from this, hopefully the less likely you'll be to be a dumbass in the future. Most people that get caught driving drunk, it isn't usually their first time. I bet this wasn't your first time drinking and driving, but your first time getting caught. If you get caught again, don't bother posting here. We don't need to know how much of a rah-tard you are! :smack::smack::smack:

You're lucky nothing else happened. If you get in a wreck while you're drunk, odds are in your favor that you'd be fine. You almost always annihilate what you hit though. Light posts. Signs. Homes. Cars. People.

SAW a guy wreck his F-150 two weeks ago. Last memory was being approx. 2 miles away from where he crashed. Guy took out about 30ft worth of water/sand barrels (whatever is in those damn things) before hitting the jersey barrier. I found a 2 foot piece of axle shaft laying on the ground.

I am not condemning. Or condoning. But since you posted on TW, you're gonna have about 30,000 people check your moral compass for you since you were too drunk to do it yourself.

The reason no one else is replying in this forum about having had a DUI, is because they are ashamed. DUI's are nothing that a reasonable person should WANT to make public.

Take care of yourself. Get sober. Stay sober. Prove to yourself that you can live a better life and be a better person

I have a mind to agree with you. Who posts up that they got caught and busted for a DUI with trees and a pipe and loaded gun. Depending on the amount of trees he could get charged with intent to sell! I think he may be begging for attention.
If its bogus, LOCK AND BAN!
