    to me it depends on quality of work when finished and the whole process in general. i have had a tatt and the dude was a total dickweed and didnt tip anything. then the dude that did my back piece was cool as hell, did good work and was a pleasure to talk with for 8 HOURS. tatt was $700 and i tipped $150
