I have dealt with the same thing, possibly the same product. I always tell them that I am not interested, even if they have a special on two cans... (They always do, here anyway.) I nicely tell them that I hand wash my car myself. I have only been approached when driving my Corolla, I think the truck's mud-covered self scares them away.

I had someone decide to spray the stuff on my window after I said "no, thanks." I was quite irritated... Especially since their product does not work as they claim it does. It left a nice, greasy film on my window. I am not quite as friendly when they approach me now. I generally try to ignore them, or simply tell them to go away...

Yeah, I had been approached before, but they have always asked me if I would like a demonstration, I answer No, and they walk away. This is the first time they do it without asking, the girl was young maybe her first time on the job so I don't blame her, that's why I didn't say anything to her in a bad tone. IMO the guy was just trying to show his "macho" attitude to impress them, its getting ridiculous around here, for anything people look at you like they are some bad ass from the streets.

I will try to get in touch with someone from there this week if possible. I do have a friend, I haven't seen him for a while but he knows one of the employees from there. Also I know they are currently selling the gas station for 1.7mil.

Yeah its pretty accurate, not one bad word ever came out of my mouth, the only time I actually got upset and defensive was when the guy started yelling crap and I approached him, because I have had enough of his attitude. I think through all the time I was thinking is this bizarro world or what?, no one there understood my point of view or seem to reason and I was some kind of agitator/bad guy for not wanting someone to demonstrate the product on my truck.

I had someone do the same thing to me, But I didn't really care if they sprayed it on my truck... I had just driven 1500 miles and the truck needed a good cleaning. But it sounds like these "salespeople" think that yelling at a potential customer is a good idea. So... Knowing that these people may be there... will you go back to that gas station? I know I wouldn't.

 

People play others, tell you to relax, so as to make you look mean, then to look nice you have to buy their crap.
People spray product , the point is "good people" are supposed to feel a bit obligated for the service or demo and will then shell out money. DONT EVER buy anything that way.
I find a subject distracter ...." Do i need to call the police?" dont get emotion when you say , just say it sort of normal like. Or ,get the window scrubber and fling water a bit freely on them then ask them to please step back im busy.

Ps , whole thing wreaks of bully sales tactics, outnumber the customer. They are well aware that by you not wanting the young girl doin the spraything , the following "act" will make you look like the aggressor. People need to be aware of all the tactics shady sales-people will use, forwarned is forarmed.
