Alright, I can't believe I'm posting this...seems so juvenile but I really would like some helpful opinions. Through my work, I attend weekly meetings at a hospital and there's this nurse girl I see when I make my walkthroughs...I may have said "hi" in passing a few times but that's the extent of our contact. How do I approach this girl or get her number without looking like a idiot? Or is this something I should just forget all together?

Any ideas besides saying "Oh hey I pass you in the hall all the time, can I get your number?" I'm really an idiot with these things...maybe I'm over thinking this.

That's the trouble, no reason to hold any sort of conversation. We'll just walk by each other...I'd have to pull her to the side and stop her just to have a convo, which at that point would be odd.

Try walking with her, I did with a couple or nurses and patients at my hospital when I did my clinical time.

Not to be a wet blanket, but you may be playing with fire. If the foray you had in mind were to go sour, you would have to put up with the consequences for as long as you held the job. There is also the issue of a potential sexual harassment claim regardless of its validity; my uncle knows from experience that HR departments do not trifle with such things.

    of course
IMHO, you are over thinking it. Walk up to her and if she isn't wearing a ring, ask her if she would like to get a cup of coffee in the cafeteria. If she isn't interested, she will (hopefully politely) say no thanks. If she is interested you may be buying her a ring in couple years.

My experience is that you will get rejected sometimes but sometimes you won't. For me (being a fat ugly guy), I had to rejected a lot before I found someone "willing". My odds were 1 in a 100 said yes. Since I had about 35 girlfriends, I was rejected 3465 times. Not a big deal. And my last girlfriend has been married to me for 12 years. Good luck man!
