I am from Boston and got my bachelors at Penn state, and I moved down to Texasbecause there were no good jobs in NE in my biz. The Marcellus and other Devonian gas shales have taken off in PA and NY, but that place is a mess because PA has no oil and gas regulations and is just making it up as they go along. It's very frustrating.

 I'm not sure I never used it. I did my masters in structural geology, i.e. faulting/earthquakes.

Yeah well at least NY isn't going to be making the same mistake. If it does happen it looks like it will be highly regulated.

PA is so backwards that they are shipping the waste water 5+ hours to Watertown NY to be processed in a municipal waste water facility.

The other thing that is about to blow up here and around the rest of the country is the removal of dams. The stats are impressive. On average 1 dam as been built every day since the signing of the Deceleration of Independence. 2011 has been hailed as the beginning of the Dam Removal Decade or something to that effect. Should be interesting to see what happens. Hopefully we can remove the ones that are about to fail and retrofit generators on the rest.

Not sure what part of the whole it is but I think its something like 50,000 gallons a week.

Most of it goes to public water treatment facilities. I suspect Watertown is getting the overflow.
