Sorry, I did not know you already had a lift on it, but I did see the wheel spacers when I changed the tire. You would not need to change your upper control arms (UCA's) to fit the larger tires as long as you keep your spacers. I still have stock UCA's but I did change my rims to a 4.5" backspace and 16" instead of the 17". In the long run it's saving me money buying sets of 16" tires instead of 17" tires. My rims were $480 for the set of 4 delivered to my door and the 16" tires were about $25 less each. So that's a $100 saved each time I buy tires. Oh yeah, My Tacoma did come stock with 265/75/16 Dunlop’s. not sure why I put 265/70/17. I would say a more aggressive off-road tire would help a lot. But remember, with the long bed you will bottom out going over things if you don't put bigger tires. Big Tires equals more clearance! 265/70/17 is only about an 1/8 inch more in clearance. Yes it's about 1/4" more in overall tire size, but you have to divide that by half for overall clearance. As far as gas mileage, I get good mileage with my 315/70/16 tires. 1 big tire rotation covers more distance, so I take it easy starting out and don't stomp the gas pedal and the only time it uses more gas is taking off from a start. Yes, I use more gas off-roading too! Want to play, got to pay. But it's it's a good feeling knowing I can clear a rock and not slide over it possibly causing damage to the underside. I hope you had as much fun as I did a Rausch Creek, and I hope to see you and all the rest of the Tacoma guys again. My only complaint was the cost of entrance. I had to pay $65 dollars. They said since my son was 16 he had to join ($15) and then I had to join ($15) and my 14yr old could not join, but had to pay as a passenger. ( First time passenger was $15, anytime after it will only be $7 ) Down my way we have a place called Doe Valley where I can wheel for free. It's privately owned and my club has an agreement with the owner. Check out our wesite at: www.bigrubbers4x4.org We are a state registered non-profit and hold events to bennifit charities.

Now all you need is some wheels for your spare with the right backspacing so your spare actually fits right

Yes, the entry for just myself would have been worth it, but adding $15 for each of my boys was steep. That's why I figured if they are going to charge for them, then I let them drive too. They had a lot of fun driving as well, but I took it through the tight spots.
