So I'm at the gym this morning in the lobby talking to the cute blonde attendant and I look out the door and watch this Marine pull up behind my truck and start taking pictures of it. He dosent take one but many different pictures and at all angels. Then he wraps his hands around his face and peers in through the tint to see inside. I found this odd and decided to use my remote start to see what his reaction is. He steps back and gets in his truck (ford pos) as I'm walking out to my pickup he ask me if this is my truck and how long I've lived here??? I asked him if I knew him and he didn't respond but immediately drove away. He pulled out of the parking lot and continued down the road. So he purposely drove into the parking lot to take pics of my rig! WTF I think he was scoping out my rig to jack it later. Maybe my wheels? Not sure. I'm paranoid now. Two blocks from my house there is a 4runner sitting on it's axels cause someone jacked all four rims Tuesday night.

    Why are people so weird?

damn..thats a little strange. It wouldnt have been that bad if he didnt just drive off. I guess just keep an eye out on your baby. Maybe set a camera up pointed at your truck through a window to record while ya sleep just in case.

Yeah I should have. But I was more creeped out then anything. When I'm on base I generally feel a little more secure about shit though so I was more relaxed then I should have been.

Yeah we have cameras in my driveway already for the solar electric system but I'm more worried about it being parked somewhere in public. I live in a small island it's not hard to find my rig

It's a good thing you were at the gym and not at your home!

But I've done that before. I saw a car and stopped to take pictures. But only because I used to own it (an old rare muscle car) and it was really nice to see that someone took care of it. The reason I know it was mine is because it still had the custom license plate I ordered for it. :)

If you can remember the guy's plate, write it down or as much of it as you can. Plus a description of him.

If anything happens, he's your go-to suspect  That would definitely creep me out.

Just a thought, have you had any traffic incidents to where maybe you made someone mad or anything of that nature? Seems like if that were the case that he would have confronted you but who knows?
