That's awesome ... I'd love an opportunity to meet any of those guys! :)

 Makes things a lot easier. :anonymous:

    It's a competition...What I'm I doing here? ;) :D

Paul, Tom, Jim, "6" Morning to you and all the other good folk here. A little busy last night; first chance I got to drop in...

"6" -- Spring  still a very distant dream for us here...but it's been 30+ during the day for over a week...not as great as it sounds with snow piled 6 to 12 feet. Roads in my neighborhood are so rough/rutted I couldn't sip my coffee on the way to work until I hit the hwy. :(

    :oldglory:God Bless you and yours...Have a great day! :)

morning all: just stopped by, at one of my buddies. "VOLUNTEERED" to help him paint the inside of a building he's working on. he's helped me out with some of my projects, so time to give some payback.

Transmission was pretty easy. I actually ended up using the fluid transfer pump. A lot more work, 250 pumps per qt, but a lot less messy and actually quicker. Waiting for the rear diff to drain now.

Wonder why Toyota did not add a magnetic drain plug to the Manual Transmission. I need to see if the theads are the same and purchase one for the next transmission oil change. I think the Junk Yard will be my friend for this purchase. ;)

One other small minor got ya is I use Red Line oils and both of the adapters to put in the oil use a cap that is made for the standard QT bottle. Glad I had a spare Penzoil 30w qt container that I was able to use. :)

Not too bad for the first time changing the rear diff fluid. Ended up using the fluid transfer pump here as well. It was less messy and easier to do.

Total time was 2 and 1/2 hours from start to finishing cleaning up. I did take some pics and if I get some time tomorrow I will do a write up and put it in the 5 lug section.

Well signing off for now. I have a lot of other work to do today.
