    I don't miss all that. Moved into a community(yeah we have an association:eek:) that cuts the grass and removes the snow. I really haven't had any problems with the association and they are quite liberal about enforcing the rules. I do kinda miss snow blowin' my driveway and some of the neighbors. Have a good weekend .

    too funny had to post....Thankya'Thankyaveramuch. And thanks for that Franklin quote! It's becoming a favorite of mine. Which reminds me...

    Got My Obama Care Packet Today
    I wanted to let you know that earlier today I received my "Obamacare enrollment packet” from the White House.
    It contained:
    * An aspirin and a Band-Aid.
    * An 'Obama Hope & Change' bumper sticker
    * A 'Bush's Fault' yard sign
    * A 'Blame Republicans first, then anybody and everybody poster
    * A 'Tax the Rich' banner
    * An application for unemployment and a free cellphone
    * An application for food stamps
    * A prayer rug
    * A letter assigning my debt to my grandchildren
    * And lastly, a coupon for a machine that blows smoke up my ass.
    Everything was made/printed in "China" and all directions were in Spanish.
    Keep an eye out. Yours should be arriving soon.

    had snow in locations a few miles south of Lake Erie. Finished buttoning up the house for winter today. Seems like it is coming sooner and faster this year, but maybe it seems that way every year. Need to get a better set of tires for this winter.

    Leaf Peepers could have had take home samples at my house today.

    Wasn't to bad a day. Got the leaves done and prepped the mowers for winter.
    just have to power wash them before putting to sleep. The only bad thing is i brought the plow truck up and proceeded to blow the front brake lines out of it. So i had to pinch off the lines for now. Nice hard pedal still but she stopped like crap hehehehehe. So i'll have to decide how far i want to go with them. Always something....

    Happy Sunday, folks! It sounds like we're all in some form of prep for the colder weather - I'll be putting away our outdoor furniture today and mulching some more leaves.

    Jim - I'm looking for my packet to come in the mail!!! lol

    One of the perks of being president of the college is that I get to welcome guests to our theater. Last night we hosted Amy Grant - she is talented, beautiful and has a personality to match her physical beauty. It was an amazing concert with songs spanning her 30+ years of singing and song-writing. It was a fun evening.

    She sure does, Jim. Crystal clear and sweet with an uplifting personality that just glows. One of her back-up singers is one of her husband's, Vince Gill, daughter. She also has a beautiful voice.

    Hard to do AK in one trip. When family members visit we focus on one area. When/if the same family comes up again, we head off in a different direction. Heck, we've lived here 12 years and I still have a list of places to go/see and stuff to do so long that I probably won't live long enough to check them all off. :eek:

    ;) And we try to avoid SEATAC if we can. Family's in midwest, we try to take the flight direct ANC to MSP, get the rental car and drive down from there.

    :thumbsup: "6" Absolutely love her voice and music. :cool:

    Until I was 18, I lived southeast of Pittsburgh, about 150 miles south of Erie Pa. When I came to Erie in '67 to attend college, I found out what Winters were all about. We average around 70-100" of snow, but have had as much as 140" a winter. Depends on which way the wind blows across Lake Erie as well as the other Great Lakes. If and when the Lake freezes over, the snow slows down a bit. If the lake freezes over, the snow slows down, but the cold weather sticks around later in the spring.

    The faith is very strong with Amy and her husband. I agree she can sing very well.

    Very nice.. I only use my sweeper about 3 times a year. I'm going to have to upgrade in the next year or so...... Don't know which way I'm going to go yet but I got to think of something.
    But you want to........ :)
