If My Body Was a Car
This is just too funny - scary how true it is!!

If my body was a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ....
But that's not the worst of it.
My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close
My traction is not as graceful as it once was.. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather..
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter, either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

Looks like a warm up here in ol' Virginny...should hit nigh 60* today & close to 70 by Tuesday...being on blood thinner puts me in the amphibian bracket, seems cold weather intensifies the issue...eligible to retire from the USPS June 6 this year, may do 1 more yr & moon walk a year until I can hop on the SS train, if it's still on track...

    Hey Charlie,

Congratulations to your grandson for getting his pilot certificate. Sounds like he's enjoying the experience. You and I both know that the SITUATIONAL AWARENESS that he no doubt developed in training as a pilot will also make him a better driver on the road.

We had a 14 year old at our gliding club solo a couple of months ago (you can do that in gliding and get your ticket at 16). Since he doesn't have a driver's license he carries his passport for ID. It's always encouraging to see serious young folks doing that instead of playing crazy video games, smoking weird stuff, walking around with their pants half-way down their crack, etc..

Hope your grandson sticks with it.

    Tex

    Evening all:
; Well we do keep the waxies warm by putting the container of them in our shirt pocket. Keeps them nice and comfy! :)

    :mad::mad::mad::mad:
Wonder why there's more and more deadbeats? Why the heck work when you can be eating lobster tail and not have to work! :frusty:

Sure; blame it on the missus! I usually set 3 alarms when I have to get up early, or drink a lot of water before going to bed.

HA: Dog ate the fish!!! I have to remember that one.
That's what it's all about! Glad you enjoyed the outing.
We couldn't do anything, and I left when they were ready to break the grill out. Even burnt hot dogs taste good while out on the ice! :D
We did get to see 2 coyotes run across the lake.
Same here on your gs Capt.. Must be in the blood!;)
