Good morning Rob. My home was on our cities Certified Habitat tour yesterday. It was a great day and my son and I had a lot of fun.

Mike, you will like the JD even at the premium cost. Darn machines just perform well for a long time. Since you can fix em the dealership will probably not see you at all after the sale.

My SIL has a JD Gator and the bed was stuck in the up position. Turned out to be a defective electric 30amp relay. JD dealership wanted $15 for the relay. AdvanceAuto had it for $5. If I had been at home I have a few left that I paid $15 for 10 of them on eBay.

Wish I had a Gator here at home but there really is nothing I need it for. It is a fun 4 wheeler to putz around in.

Morning all! Finally crawling out from weeks of college events and stress at home.

We had our commencement ceremony yesterday - great event and really enjoy seeing the excitement and pride of our grads and their families. Friday was an open house at our School of Petroleum and Natural Gas - had the CEO of Cabot Oil and Gas Corp there - of the $2.5mil gift to the college - and the place was packed with media.

Over the past few weeks I've been on panels at The National Press Club in DC and at a forum in Philadelphia looking at the implications of the decision to allow the Northwestern football team to unionize - sat next to coach Dick Vermeil for that one.

Then, last week our black lab Duffy pulled a bottle of Motrin from the back of a counter and ate about 150 pills after chewing the bottle open. Ended up with both dogs at the ER Vet. Charlie is fine, Duffy may have some lingering kidney damage - still working through that.

Grass cutting is on for me today, plus some other work around the farm trying to catch up to the past 4 weeks of events. I bought this last year - went from taking 5 hours to cut the property to between 2 and 2.5 hours.

    Enjoy the day!

Morning Tom. Certified Habitat tour sounds cool; glad you both enjoyed it.

I'm finding the Ranger side by side handy for hauling off yard debris. So far I've hauled one bedful of branches and leaves once everything thawed, and two bedfuls of thatch from the lawn. With fertilizer and then watering every other day, the lawn is finally greening up. Might be ready for the 1st mowing this break.

Hiya 6! Man, you have been busy.

Sorry to hear about the Motrin incident. Hope Duffy recovers without too much permanent damage. Poor pup. :(

    Nice Husky.

    Take Care!

And Good Morning to all.

Busy day at home today. I have a repair trifecta happening. Safelite windshield repair in today to fix 2 dings in the Tacoma windshield. Belair Engineering in to replace a broken thermostat on the HVAC system. La Z Boy in to start the repair process on a sleeper chair we purchased earlier this year. Should be an interesting morning.

 Morning Mike. :woot: for new toys! :D

Here's the local cliche for the "vacationers": If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them? That might be just an Alaska thing, but you made me think of it. ;)

Short week for me, work Tue/Wed/Thu nights, then a 4 day weekend.

    Enjoy your break.

    Hehehehehe
Actually it's like everything else, it's only a few....
Had to instruct a local on boat ramp stuff last week. He wasn't happy but I told him he would get a much worse reception in a few weeks.
    Off to work . Later people's .......

    NO TRADE.

At least our tourists help our local economy. In fact many up here make their living from tourism.

And WTF ... ICE can only be contacted from 8 to 5 Mon-Fri???? You have got to be kidding me? Are these the same idiots that crashed the economy in 2008 ... I mean damn, those are banker hours? :frusty:

    // Break - Break //

    Morning all:
Was thinking about what Mike said about raising and lowering the lake where he fishes. I think the water level is also dropping at the lake we are fishing. Last night we caught 7 more walleyes and 2 legal stripers. :D
When we got there, there were two guys leaving. They told us we might as well turn around and go home; nothing was hitting, they didn't even have a bump. :notsure:

   What, ONLY 10 got out of the van? Over here in Texas there would been at least 20!!! My son worked an accident scene where 23 of them were in a pickup that ran off the road and hit a tree, killing most. Ugly situation.

They own this state .... WE are the minority.

I thought the Cubans owned Florida.
