I want to set up, I have 2 14' kayaks also. I often take the boats on a bit of a trip. I have tied them onto my sun dolphin when I was fishing with 6 adults. They were just fine for the 3 hour trip.

We have yakima racks for our leer cap. The bars are 60 inches , I think. Aslong as the bars do not stick out past your side mirrors there legal(up here). Boats are 12 feet long.
    Cheers:)
