I really want to get down there and watch the final launch.

Is there anyone from that area that has a good place to watch it from?

Nope, the last one is this week.

I am hopping someone on here has the hook up for a good place to watch the launch from like their roof.

we were down there several years ago for a conferance and watched on. We were on the west side of the launch pad across the water. We just parked on the side of the road. The closest any civilians can get is about 7 miles away. The shuttle is barely visable untill it takes off. Then it is an unbelievable sight. Here are a few pics i took.
