What to do with some "extra" money. K5 blazer or Macbook?

A couple months back I did some wheelin' and dealin' and ended up trading a bayou 220 and $600 for a suzuki z400. The Z is a great quad, very fun. BUT with colder weather on it's way i've been thinking i'd like to sell it and get something like an old blazer/jeep/bronco. Something 4wd (yea, I drive a 5 lug). This wouldn't JUST be a winter vehicle but also something fun for me and my friends to beat on year round without worrying about "ruining" it. This would also save some wear and tear on the taco (which is paid for and I'll probably be upgrading my 1st gen 5 lug to a 2nd gen 4x4 DC in the next year or two).

I still live with my parents, we have antique insurance on our '69 442 and it's very cheap, like 60 bucks a year. We could add something like a CJ7,70's K5 blazer or early bronco to that policy for about the same amount of money. I'm looking to get something like $1800 out of the Z and don't want to spend more than $2500 on whatever I decide on. I've also thought about using that money for a Macbook Pro which would be UBER nice for school.

My real question is, "What would the good people of TW do?"

School over anything else, but I'll leave the final decision up to you.

Well, the thing with school is . . . I don't really "need" a good computer for school, it would just be "nice". MacBooks are the shizz, though. I'm doing fine without it, then again, i'm doing fine without a blazer too . . .

Second vehicle aren't always all they're cracked up to be. That's second insurance, repairs, gas, etc that you'll have to figure out. I had 4 vehicles at one time once. It got to be a bitch after a while keeping it all together. Lol

Go with what you need. If you don't need either then hang onto the cash until you do.

You're young so hopefully you'll have lots of time to get the things you want later.

I think I might hold off on the blazer.... Go ahead with a "mactop" and wait until I'm making more money to build a real off road rig.... feel free to talk me out of it though. I've already been down the hookers and blow road.... That's part of why I'm still living at home.

Had an 87 K5 and I always miss it.

The Macbook will be outdated and useless in two years, the Blazer will live on forever.

Hookers and blow.

But i wouldn't pay $1500 for a mac, i'd spend about $700 on a laptop for school then save up a little more and then buy the blazer. Just my .02
