I know we have a large base of law enforcement so I'm hoping you guys can chime in.

I really want to get a Swedish European Style plate. I just don't know the legality of it. If It can be done on the front and back that'd be awesome, but my guess is only front, Or if only in the front and I'll have the texas one on the dash inside. Google has really been of no help, i found some other forums for other folks with european cars, but they're all not definitive on what is law.

I tried to photoshop the ones from here http://www.customeuropeanplates.com/eec-swedish-license-plate.html?category_id=1

I say go for it. I talk to cops all the time and they have never said anything about European style plates being illegal. They are usually talking to me about speed limits and how I don't like them.

It's only illegal if they pull you over.

America or not... I'm happy I have Texas plates on my truck again. I really hated it when my old truck had Virginia plates. The plates just made it seem like less of a truck.

I am 99% sure the actual front plate has to be visible and free of obstructions. IE not on the dash of your car or behind your grill.

IMHO your car would look goofy with a Texas plate and a fake European plate.

Yeah I thought about it, kind of second guessing it. But If all i have to do is keep the real texas plate on the dash then so be it. :D
