Truck was broken into yesterday around 11:30a, in my work parking lot.

As you can see above, there are cameras (pretty decent ones, I got to look at the footage...) and there is supposed to be a guard on patrol in a golf cart around the lots.

Broke the passenger window, climbed in with the alarm going off, got the radio, and my CC weapon. Before you ask why it was in the truck, work has 30.06 posted...

2 guys saw him break in, reported it. Stated to cops they didnt want to approach the guy in case he had a gun or something. Did not get plates on the vehicle. for the record, I am 100% cool with that decision on their part.

Insurance will cover radio, repairs/glass cleanup in the truck. Will not cover CCW, its under home owners, according to them.

They left 2 Surefire flashlights in the console, 2 pairs of Oakley sunglasses, leatherman, and the extra mag.

Also left me the towel they wrapped around their hand to break the window.

Cops got one partial print, but doubt anything will come of that.

Check your work lots, make sure you park in a visible area, and be safe!

Another?? that sucks man I have had my old truck broken into on a movie theater lot. Took my aftermarket stereo and cd's is all. That is all I had in it worth taking. What pissed me off more is they first tried getting into it with a coat hanger and scratched the hell out of the driver's door.

The witnesses could of at least got the plates as he got away.

I am glad I work on a base don't hear much about that type stuff out here.

Hope you get everything cleaned up and back to normal. So is your Home Owner's going to cover the CCW? Or are you S.O.L. on that front due to it happening with it in the vehicle?

I havent even called them. If they use my normal deductible, it is higher than the cost of the gun. I figure I was thinking of upgrading anyways, so I will use this as my excuse...

A new aftermarket alarm is being considered, but I am not sure what route I want to go yet.
