BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I used to use Gillette until they moved production to Mexico and started using crappy steel that tears the shit out of my face.

I now use BIG LOTS 20 for $1.99; just as good as the old gillette.

um.....tetnus is from a bacteria, not rust

rust is nothing more than a chemical reaction of iron oxidizing...

I feel like crazyengineer, Krazie Sj, and myself have had this conversation before (maybe I need to add some form of "crazy" to my name).

Anyway, I use a variety of DE and SE razors all of them between 30 and 60 years of age.

Lately, I've been using this Gem Featherweight Single edge razor
    [IMG]
with a a Prorasso Brush and one of many soaps/creams.

    BTW, Happy Birthday to Krazie.

Well just don't put transmission oil on your face using it as shaving cream. I know that you might get it mixed up every now and then. :p

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I thought the same before the switch, but they are well worth it. I've shaved dry in a pinch with no irritation.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Gillette Mach 3, when I run out of my current supply of razors, I am gonna spring for Fusion and see what they are like

I was being serious. And it was two fold confusion. Firstly, there's no rust on there as you can see, aka, highly doubtful there's any tetanus bacteria on there either. Second, I use it weekly, not one a decade.

I think you should add some form of Crazy to your name. ;) Anyone who shaves like we do has to be a little off kilter.

And thanks for the B-day wishes. Much appreciated. :) Nice looking razor BTW. Although I'm not sure I could get into SE's. I've already got the wife complaining of my collection thus far without delving into another niche.

    .

BIG secret to make your expensive cartridges last a lot longer and this works per a retired Gillette engineer via ClarkHoward.com.

    (1) Immediately after you finish shaving, rinse blades with hot water for a second to get the ALL the debris out.

    (2) Sling it dry with a few flicks of the wrist, lightly dry it with your towel (with and not against blades).

    (3) Then I blow a couple times until I feel no water come off the blades.

All this takes maybe 10 - 15 seconds.

Here is what the Gillette engineer said .... the blades do get dull ... but the build up (water & debris encrustation ) builds up and destroys the edge much faster than the edge just getting dull.

Try this ... it has worked for me for the last 4 years ... and my Fusions last at least 4 times longer ... but I do wear off the "colored wear strip" though.
