OK!!! I was washing my Carhartt Jacket today and looked at the directions on the tag before I stuck it into the dryer. It said “ tumble dry low”, then I thought to myself, “ where is this jacket Made at ?”
Looking at the tag, it says “HECHO EN MEXICO” This is crazy, the higher on the list of work wear for American’s, made in Mexico?
    My Question is
How Many People on here Look for specific made in America stuff?
I buy a lot of patriotic gear or stuff like flags, hats, patches, shirts, stickers, things I can represent our great nation with. When I saw that on my jacket, I was really disappointed in Carhartt, I thought they were all American and would be from here. Well not the best source but a link and an explanation why my favorite jacket and work clothes are made in Mexico.

I look for Made in U.S.A. when I can.

What irritates me is companies like Carhartt charging Made in America prices for Made in Mexico items

You really really want to know what pissed me off royally a few weeks ago??? Well I'll tell you anyway. I was in Kohl's a few weeks ago and I saw a pair of Levi's 501 jeans made in Egypt. Never never never would I ever purchase those. Also, i would not be on this forum if my Tacoma was made in China. Too me, the location of manufacture and assembly mean something.

Some of our Tacomas were made in Mexico. Does that change your mind?

It's a shame about Carhartt although I'd take Mexico over China or Bangladesh. Danner still makes some of their boots in the USA.

I really don't think we as Americans can live on American built stuff!!!

If i stopped today and only bought made in America, there wouldnt be much or it would be out of my budget. Someone should live off American built, American made, American Grown food. The sausage in my frige said " Bazilain, mexico, and other countries!!! my food isn't from here!!!!!!!!!!
