Chris Knight is good, no videos, but how about, North Mississippi Allstars, RL Hubbard, Billy Joe Shaver, James McMurty. Another, maybe a tad more southern rock is Blackberry Smoke, love those guys.

Oh hell yeah! I forgot about them. Thanks for reminding me. I was listening to them before I really got into the rest of the alt country scene. Some good ass music. Not some bubblegum pop with a fiddle like the mainstream stuff.

Good suggestions. I've heard of quite a few of those. Y'all keep 'em coming :D maybe we can keep the metalheads outta here. haha

Here's another Chris Knight. He wrote this song and Blake Shelton ended up cutting it.

oh heck yeah dude i love them. and if i may ask, how did you find out about them. seeing we're the same age im gonna guess they opened for a Cory Smith show? that's how i found them. saw them play in raleigh at a CS show i went to back in high school about 4 years ago. at first i just thought they were a bunk of drunks until i heard "PBR Promenade" and i was hooked. bought all their albums, probably been to 7 or 8 of their shows (one last month), and met them plenty of times. my roommate always goes to their shows too and he's 7 ft tall so bj always recognizes us lol. if you don't have their "Dances For the Lonely" album than your life is not complete.

One of the local radio stations here has/had (not sure if it's still going) a red dirt music hour on saturday nights and they played one of their songs. I liked it so I looked it up when I got home and bought some of their songs. I'll have to get that album. Maybe they will tour somewhere near here. If I see a 7 foot tall guy there I'll go talk to him. :p

You lucky SOB! I'm going to see them this Thursday night though! :D:D:D.

Idk if you've seen this yet or not but they have their new tour schedule out.

from what I can tell these new songs are going to be more like the old lucero music. Back to the Rebels, rouges and the tennessee albums. Although I loved the 1372 album. It's bad because I live right outside of memphis and I never heard about these guys until I discovered them on my own. You would think their hometown would support them more.

Nice! You will love there show if you like them, A few guys from the band ride bmx so they are very well know in the bmx community. Which means when there are bmx tours they usually headline them, 4 outta the 6 times iv seen them were in a skatepark, haha. Tennessee is prob my favorite cd from them, if I do any roadtrips I rock lucero for most of it :D
