..show me where in the constitution it says it's ok to plunder the earnings of productive citizens to hand-over to the sloth/leech/moocher, w/out exacting responsible behavior in return for said sacrifices?..

Florida already has a welfare drug test program, and the program has failed miserably. Something like less then 3% of all that were tested failed, not sure of what the actual numbers are now. Plus, the cost of the program has cost more cash then what it was presumed to save.

I am curious who is going to pay for it and how it will administered?
From being in the service and subjected to drug testing and for being on drug administration boards (for thosepersonnel who tested hot, yep they still did), it is expensive!
The chain of custody, paperwork, then if positive, it is innocent until proven guilty. Making sure the sample is not tainted, etc. etc. etc.

Now I'm not saying I do not like the idea but just saying yeah let's test welfare receipents isn't as easy as just saying yeah let's test welfare receipents.

It will cost more money! You will have to hire and train more people to administer the tests! Another fat cow.

I like the idea of making volunteer service work for the benefits ...win win.
    No free lunch.

They why can employers do it? They are not making you test. You only have to test to receive benefits. Nobody is guaranteed to be given everything free.

Single mom's needing help are sloths , leeches or moochers by default ?

Maybe change the qualifications for welfare

Employers do it for insurance reasons. That's why if you ever get hurt on the job you get tested right away so they know if you are paying the bill or if your company is paying for it.

Well, you know who's gonna pay, the people that work and are subject to testing, that's who. But, if done correctly, with the monies saved (from not paying out to those who fail) should at least balance out with the new cost. There are very inexpensive test, (at drug stores even) that are very simple to administer. But your correct, name ONE thing government can do efficiently. Have you been to the post office or DMV lately?

..needing help is one thing,... living off the dole, and voting for a living is another... both are the perils of a welfare-state society...

Isn't it an employer standard to drug test? It's not government mandated that to pay taxes you have to pass a drug test, Uncle Sam doesn't give a fuck he just wants the money. It's the work places code of conduct that dictates the drug test.

    Right?

you think that any majority of these mouth breathers vote? I bet the only time any countable number of them voted was in 2008:rolleyes:

this^ if you dont want to test then you dont get welfare...sorry. I was subject to random drug tests when I was active duty... I am subject to have my vehicle search at any time when I am on base...If I didnt want to be searched then I could find another job. Same principle.

Well I know why they do it. I was referring to the constitutionality of it. How you have the choice of taking the job or not their for taking the test or not. Same with welfare if you don't want to take the test don't sign up for welfare! Simple as that:eek:

Yes have them take up simple county jobs till they find a real job. I know around here their is plenty of county grass to be cut and such. Don't really need skill.
