there is no question. Honda.

Government Motors can't compete in reliability. The CR-V is one of the most reliable vehicles on the road and it holds its value like the Tacoma.

I test drove the terrain and actually liked it. I think GM has come a long way.

Wife and I had an 06 CRV. Good little car but she wanted more cargo room so we got a Pilot. I didn't like the 07 and up model CRVs thought they looked uglier but I think I heard they just redesigned the 12 but haven't seen. Honda is good quality but you pay a little more for it.

I would go with Honda or Toyota. The Gm will not even make it out of warranty without major repairs. I see the Chevrolet version every day. They have timing chain issues and other engine problems.

If you want to go to 200k with very few issues then you can throw the GM out the window. Go with the Honda. It will last.

We bought a 2011 CRV for my wife (as a family car). We love it! Plenty of cargo room for stroller, shopping bags, etc.
Love the fact that you can recline and slide the rear seats. - Good MPGs.

the terrain was voted real bad on consumer reports

and yahoo

http://autos.yahoo.com/consumerrepor...used_cars.html

Small SUVs

Toyota RAV4
Toyota RAV4
Introduced in 1996, the RAV4 was the first car-based SUV. It was agile and comfortable but small and underpowered. The 2001 redesign brought more power and a roomier interior. ESC arrived in 2004. For 2006 Toyota added an available third row. Throughout its life the RAV4 has had stellar reliability.

Other good choices:
Honda CR-V
Subaru Forester
Mitsubishi Outlander

The only problems i remember about Honda Cr-V's are the rear diff, and they had a real nasty issue torching valves.
