Jason does not have access to a computer. He's residing in a shelter. He lost everything. Thanks for the thought, though. Prayers help a lot too.

He has no internet access, and wont for a while. I can post up what he says when I talk to him, if thats Ok.
I have a paypal, but I wont be able to get any money to him until the weekend after next. Thats when I am going up there to meet with everyone, and assess all the damage.

I would rather people send a gift card right to him, so he can get it faster. Only use paypal as a last resort.

Setting up a PayPal account for donations can also help them tremendously.

I understand, and would rather do that, but they have no internet access.

going to walmart tonight! I know im not one of the big popular members on here, but I still spend enough time on here to recognize what great people you all are. I feel terrible for anyone this happens to, I want to do anything I can to help.

I will get a walmart giftcard tonight.

chris: do they have a mcdonalds or other fast food restaurant near them that I could get them a gift card for also? just somewhere they can get good quickly and easy since they can't cook food they get from walmart...

Great idea, Jacob!! There was another member here who sent gift cards to restaurants. That does help because he can't cook right now but please remember he lost his vehicles in the fire too. Hopefully there's one within walking distance or close enough to where someone can take them.

I don't know him personally, but you can go to a bank and set up an account for him for free likely, and then go in weekly and transfer the funds from Paypal to that said account.

Posted all threads in NW BS section. I am sure the crew from OR/WA/ID, etc will help.

If there is anything specific they need, clothes, etc, please let us know.

If he has a bank account, you can set up the Paypal account to wire to that account. So people could donate, and then you, Chris, could login & handle the transfer.

Quicker and easier than PayPal and without fees. One can go to Walmart.com and purchase a gift card in any denomination, Walmart will then send it to Jason free of charge.

    http://www.walmart.com/browse/_/N-94v8?tab_value=All&ic=31_0&ref=+426212&search_sort=6&selected_items=+&_refineresult=true&depts=&catNavId=96894&povid=cat96894-env202831-moduleB010712-lLinkFC1WalmartGiftCards

Bear in mind folks that Jason and Michelle literally have nothing. No internet access, possibly no access to their bank accounts, just a truck, and the clothes on their backs. Please follow Chris' advice and send them a gift card so that they can get the things that they need to start rebuilding their lives. This is the quickest and easiest way to get them the support that they desperately need.

They do have the one vehicle they were in when the fire broke out. So they can get around a little bit.
