Recently I have been intrested in vodka. When at the bar, I'll go for stolichania(sp) and coke, tastes just like cream soda. I want to be able to keep a flask at home with some in it. Whats your favorite vodka, and why?:)

Are we drinking said vodka straight? Grey Goose for sure! Only other one that even comes close would be Absolut, and that's still not even that close

Don't drink vodka anymore, bad experiences in the past.
The popular vodkas I serve at my bar are the famous: Absolut, Stoli's, Skyy, Grey Goose, Fuzzy's, Schmirnoff.

Best vodka on that list: Absolut. Next best is Skyy No contest.
    Grey Goose = overpriced crap
Stoli's = :puke: to me, but popular. Their flavored vodkas are decent
Schmirnoff = Mid-range quality, cheap price, I sell it as "well"

A Vodka that I didn't list is Monopolowa. It's Russian Potato Vodka, SUPER harsh, but actually tastes kinda good for vodka :anonymous:.

The most popular vodka drinks I sell:

    V&C: Vodka & Cranberry
    Cape Cod: Vodka, Cranberry, Soda
Cosmopolitan: Cranberry, Vodka, Cointreau, Lime Juice
White Russian: Kahlua, Vodka, Light Cream
    Black Russian: Kahlua, Vodka
Martini (Vodka): Vodka, Twist of Lemon/Orange OR an olive
    Screwdriver: Vodka, OJ
Bloody Mary: Tomato Juice, Vodka, Worcestershire Sauce, Frank's, Celery Salt, Lime Juice, Black Pepper, splash of Triple Sec
Kamikaze: Vodka, Triple Sec, Lime Juice
    V&T: Vodka, Tonic Water
Long Island Iced Tea: Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila, Triple Sec, S&S, Cola
Lemon Drop: Limon Vodka, S&S, Lemon drops
    Harvey Wallbanger: Vodka, Galliano, OJ

Try the Crystal Head vodka. Way better than Grey Goose.

Absolute, Stoli, and the goose are my favorites. Absolute is definitively the best bang for the buck, especially @ costco.

Agree on the Goose shit, (all made up marketing) total crap, Ciroc (or what ever crap) just overpriced, over romanticized. Skyy not bad, Absolut, OK, my fav, that no one has mentioned is Kettle One. If mixing, cheaper is the way to go, good vodka should be "shot" cold. BTW, I'm a burbon guy.

I just buy Svedka $20 a handle, probably could go even cheaper for the bloody mary's I drink and the caucasions the wife likes. I can't get excited about vodka, maybe it would matter if I drank Vodka Martinis but it's strictly Gin in my Martinis and Gibsons.
