    She's gone but not forgotten.
Ok, so I have a half a big bottle of Woodbridge Pinot Noir in me. Looking forward to the hangover!

Why, you might ask? Well lemme tell ya!

I got laid off last month. I was picked out of the people working there for a few reasons. First, the two that work in my office, one has a "four kids and a deadbeat husband so I can't let her go" and the other is pregnant and is about to download..so "I can't let her go now!". Left me to go.

About a year ago they hired a woman for the main office (where I was before) who is fat, loud, boisterous, and mostly incompetent. I sat and listened to her lie to customers, watched her do half the work she said she did, badly over-charge customers. I took phone calls from customers who said they would never come back to there (www.mrpc.com) because of her ripping them off. When customers pick their machines up the poor woman who works the front desk has to fire them up in front of them and show them they work. She has to (in front of the customer) finish what this pig said she did, but she's already learned this pig is the owner's favorite and not to say anything. This pig would have been punched in the mouth had I not needed the job...she tossed me under the bus every chance she got, I complained but the "manager" there (Hi Zeek) is a spineless jellyfish who doesn't really know how to handle people...his answer is "what do I have to fire someone?". So business is down (no repeat customers because of her) and somebody had to go. Owner apparnently doesn't see or care that he is losing his customer base, the pig is bringing in good money stealing from customers! So out I go...

I've sent out at least 100 resumes in the past month. There's probably 500 resumes for every available job down here. And there ain't many. No hits yet. I paid one job shop (Action Personnel) 25 bucks to submit my resume to an awesome job right here in town. After three weeks of hearing this place say "haven't heard anything yet" I decide to call the people hiring myself..and they tell me the job is filled! Flushed 25 bucks down the crapper on that one huh!

The owners of this house I'm in is F&J Quality Builders. They build houses and do lease to own programs for people who can't get credit enough to buy a house or just want a decent place to live until they can buy it. After my divorce my credit is shot (try it some day) and this is what I could get. We all know how willing the banks are to give loans nowadays!

They're being kinda decent about it, I sat in front of the owner's daughter who runs the business now and explained it all to her. She told me "just give us what you can and we'll be OK".

So I tell her I'll give her the 500 bucks I have left in the bank. Well, that didn't work out.

DirecTV decided since I was less than two months late (after I called them and told them I was unemployed, I need to suspend my service), they would cancel my subscription. And since they have my debit card number, they just decided they'd take 461 bucks out. $180 for "early cancellation"...even though I've been a DirecTV customer since around 1998. I moved last January, used their "movers special". The "tech" that showed up told me I needed new satellite boxes. I told him that is odd since they worked when I lived 1.2 miles from my new house and disconnected them two days ago...but whatever. Turns out that made a new contract, and since they disconnected me I owe them a early term fee! $180 bucks! And then, since I still have the two boxes, I owe them 55 bucks for each of them. I heard nothing about sending the boxes back. I contact my bank and file an unauthorized charge affidavid, the bank manager calls DirecTV and even he says that was not a valid charge, tells them he's going to do a charge-back. Well, today I speak with him, according to DirecTV they ARE authorized to take what they want, when they want, for whatever reason they want, and now it's MY problem, I need to fight it out with them.

Since they took that 461 bucks without me knowing they were gonna, three checks bounced since they took it. Another 105 bucks out. My account is in the negative now. Way cool.

No money to give the house owners. Wonderful. These owners have been doing this since 1983 and have a judge in their pocket, takes them about three days to have a sheriff sent out for evection. Can you say homeless?

With my truck: I've been told by CitiFinancial that after making six months payments I can skip two months. Perfect timing, right? Saturday someone from there calls me and says gimme a payment now, we'll set you up for the two months off. So I do, I borrow it from my mother. After I give him the payment info, THEN he tells me it has to go through his supervisor, which won't be until Monday. So I call today, now it's a case of the guy who WAS handling it all is "unavailable". So I talk to some other woman who now says it'll be a couple days before they make the decision on if I get the deferrement or not. Sweet! Homeless and no vehicle!

My daughter wakes up with a 101 degree fever. So she stays home today. So much for hitting Wally World for seasonal help work!

Today my mother calls. My father was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. They did CAT scans and don't know what's going on. A "specialist" is coming in tomorrow, meanwhile they have him on friggin MOROPHINE to kill the pain. He is diabetic, has high blood pressure, an enlarged heart, prostate cancer, and more fake joints in him than a redneck monster truck.

Up north I was making 62.5K to sit on my ass and babysit a server rack. I gave it all up, including my house I only owed 45K on..for a woman who wanted to move to Florida to be around her horse-faced sister. Been one kick in the head after another since I been down here.

Yeah, Johnny's getting drunk....still a couple inches left in the bottle...

    end rant

Well, I really don't know what to say, brother. Please try to go easy on the juice for a while. It's not helping. You are definitely in a tough spot. I think most members on here have been through hard times at some point. All I can really say is try and fight through it. IT WILL GET BETTER AT SOME POINT. Please don't do something stupid. I know this doesn't help you any, but try to stay positive. It may take time, but it will turn around. Like I started with, I really don't know what to say. Piece

I'm in Ocala AKA Slowcala. At this point I'd do anything...except roofing. Can't do heights.

Brunes, My Wife has a cousin that has an available apt. in St. Pete. It been un occupied for a while. Im trying to get ahold of them and see if I can swing a "Favor". I know some people in the Printing, Medical, and Construction industries that Im trying to call, also. Seems its too late there for anyone to answer calls. My Familly has a pretty big farm (about 6500 acres), and they may need some "help". :) Your not going to be "Homeles", not if I can help it.
