TV: Doomsday Preppers

I'm torn between The river and Doomsday Preppers. Both air at 9. Damn I need to add a DVR to the wish list

 

Isn't the idea to convince her it will happen, therefore giving an excuse to murder the Taco?

 

I think our economy is gonna have it's own dooms day before the world

 

I feel like I've seen this show before...like a couple months ago it was on really late at night. Even the whole `expert assessment` thing..the little 0-100 graph looked exactly the same as the show I saw months ago at like 2-3am

 

It was over hyped the show sucked

 

I'm watching it now. Definitely a good idea to be aware of the possibilities that these people are talking about.

People can talk shit all they want about this being crazy and that it will never happen, but IF IT EVER DOES HAPPEN, wouldn't you want to be prepared for it?

Cool show, but some of these featured parties are obvious fanatics. Everytime I watch it, I just think about how unprepared I am LOL. I gotta get a 2nd job to pay for all the stuff these peeps are grabbing from the store.

 

How do these people pay for this stuff. If there world definitely went to shit, I don't want to be staying where there is a lot of people. I want to be as far away as from the general population b/c of mass hysteria.

I think I might just go buy myself an old missel silo and turn it into a home like the crazy bald guy did in the movie RED.

Kinda like a massive hurricane in New Orleans or riots in LA. I was in LA in 1992 and those who had big guns were king.

 

Must say I'm rather unimpressed by the show. Seems to focus on somewhat unlikely scenarios, with somewhat oddball or quirky preparations for those scenarios. For example, a couple planning for a global food shortage, caused by insect infestation, by growing food in their tiny (1/8 acre) backyard, like their plants are somehow immune to insects and that small space could actually provide food for an entire family. I was hoping for more expert advice or, with the existing preparations for specific scenarios format, something a bit more realistic.

 

I went to watch this the other day. Turns out I don't get National Geographic.

 

While I agree with you 100%, the type of show you and I are looking for wouldn't be entertaining enough to be a worthwhile endeavour for cable television.

I kept getting in hypothetical arguments with the my TV before I had to remind myself that this was in fact "Reality TV". Sadly NatGeo, History and the like are all following the same trends and airing an assload of garbage nowadays.

They got doomsday bunkers coming on in a few days. And really a fuckin 22pic ain't gonna do shit to the end of a conex box fuckin retarded fucks.barely knocked the paint off. Shows alright I guess should be on the comedy channel as said before

 

yea i didn't see that episode but my friend was talking about it. I was like wait.. they shot at it with a 22? why not just throw rocks at it?
