More hot water in a RV

Owning a travel trailer, we do a lot of camping. The 6 gallon water heater was always short of hot water, I modified it. By adding an adjustable thermostat to raise the temperture of the water and installing a honeywell thermostatic mixing valve on the back of the water heater to temper-down the water to a set point, I'm able to get 50% more hot water or up to a total of 9 gallons of hot water from one cycle of the water heater.

Not sure what this thread is about, you asking how to get more hot water or are you saying how you did it?

You could go to a tankless water heater. Use less fuel and never run out of hot water. Bit more expensive I know, but worth it imo.
