So the Powerball is at $310,000,000. People are buying tickets like crazy. I bought 15 split between my two best friends. What's the point of being rich if your friends are poor? This stuff has me thinking... what would I do with $103,333,333 (before taxes)... Oh Lawd.

First, I'd pay off my truck. Yes, I am keeping my Taco.
Second, I am paying off my house and dropping the insurance. Insurance in Louisiana is stupid high. My house is only worth $98,000.. I am a millionaire. Pfft.
Next, I am looking for a nice 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath house. Nothing too big. Sell the other one. Crap neighborhood.
Next, I am buying me a nice boat that works when I want to fish.
Next, I am buying me 4 Saints season tickets on the 50 yard line.

Other than that, I'd be set. LOL

    What would you do?

Finally get caught up on the IOU's I owe the local hookers. Then take the truck for a tour of America. After that I would settle down somewhere without snow and enjoy my new life with the wife and have a few kids.

I'd buy an old abandoned missile silo and retrofit it with a circular bed, an internal Jack in the Box and stock it full of hookers. Once a day it would snow cocaine from the ceiling.

I would pay off my house and renovate it, or just sell it and get a nicer one. I would also get a house on Lake Lure, NC.

I would SAS my Tacoma, buy a '79-'83 pickup and fix it up, and also get a '85 4runner, and maybe a Tundra for a tow rig ( I love Toyotas :D)

Then I would give a little of the winnings to my sisters to help them out.

Pay off the house and school loans. Probably wouldn't move, probably would still work... might start my own business. Help the family with their loans and my best friend since childhood. Rest would sit in the bank collecting interest. No reason to live a glamorous life, I already have all I need. Then tell everyone who asked that I blew it on stupid shit so there would be no handouts

That would be a miracle of old testament proportions, as I don't gamble/play lotto.

Since you have to pay to play, and play to win, looks like I'm screwed.

Pay off my house, parent's house/cars, find a nice vacation house somewhere quiet (probably in the mountains on a lake), get some new toys (motorcycle, ATV's, sports car), make sure my close relatives are all set, set up college funds for my young cousins, get married (I know...), find a job I enjoy with light hours and live off the interest.

Contact my tax adviser and get some financial counseling set up.
Pay off my house and my siblings' houses.
Give my parents enough to allow them to retire immediately and travel.
    Cut back my work hours.
Surf, rock climb, race, run, and live well.

That much money can buy a lot of stuff, but more than anything it buys free time as you're out from under the on-going burden of debt and bills. Time is worth way more than stuff to me.
