    Has anyone on here applied for a patent? I have dug all over the patent office website and cant find anything like the idea I have. i just have no idea how to take this further to the next step and obtain a patent. any help would be greeaaatt!!!:cool:

    yep i have. Lawyer is the only route.
    If your sale price per unit is less than $50.00 it is not worth it. Patent Search is like $1200, and the patent applications can be upwards of $3K including attorney fees.

    modded the F*ck out
    and don't cheap out with one of those patent lawyers you see on late night television for 35 bucks.

    It can be an expensive and time consuming process. but if done right it can yield a great return of your investment. I would get it trade marked before you go for a patent that way you have your ass covered, JIC some one else tries to steal it you can go after them with cease and desist orders why you're waiting for the patent to go through.
