Commercial Walk Behind Mower purchasing HELP

I am looking at buying a used commercial walk behind mower for my lawn care business and was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with this? Looking at brands bobcat, lesco, bunton, and gravely. I am some what new to all this so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

 

If its a briggs and straton engine you should be good to go

 

We will have to agree to disagree. Briggs is good if you buy a Vanguard motor. That is their commercial line. Elswise, most mowers are built the same. Deck,spindles,wheels,hydraulics. Etc..I personally think Scag is the way to go. I've used many mowers and find that they stripe the best and last the longest, can't go wrong with Exmark either. Bobcat Lesco, bunton and gravely are all basically the same mower. MTD makes a few with a different name. Not sure which though. Oh, and Kawasaki is the only engine you should ever run on a mower. IMHO.

 

I have ran ferris, exmark, and orange There's not to many bad things to say about any of them for a walk behind I would prefer Farris there a bit more then exmark but are well worth it imo the key to any commercial mower is finding one in the best condition possible used as most for sale have seen there days and things like shot bearings and bushings ect. Add up real fast.

 

I've had several walk behinds and currently have an Exmark HP Turf Tracer for my home use. I like it, it's hydrostatic, it's easy to work on and strips like a bad habit!
